CITP Postdoc Aylin Caliskan-Islam was quoted in Scientific American regarding her work on digital fingerprinting. The article is entitled, “CSI: Cyber-Attack Scene Investigation--a Malware Whodunit Link is external, Link opens in new window.” Caliskan-Islam discusses a study in which she and her collegues “used algorithms to automate the analysis of coding styles from 1,600 programmers, correctly attributing authorship with 94 percent accuracy.”
